Most of our calls come from houses built between 1960 and 2003, with the bulk of that stock going up through the 1980s and 90s. That matters because a door installed in 1985 doesn't use the same spring cable routing or opener bracket as one installed in 2015, and a lot of the parts on older doors have been superseded twice over. We'd rather say that up front than sell you three separate repairs over two years on a door that was going to need replacing anyway.
One limitation worth naming: some parts for older doors - specific bracket styles, obsolete track profiles - aren't something we keep on the truck, and getting an exact match can take longer than the repair itself.
